This species has a blue mantle with a dark outline and lacks a mid-dorsal longitudinal line. It also has small black specks within the blue areas. They are usually found on rocks, walls and reefs, and they feed on asplysilid sponges. They are found in a depth range of around 15-30 m. Their body length is about 40mm.
