AIR BAJO
Description: Air Bajo is one of the muck dive sites that is located on the coast of Lembeh Island. It was found when dive guides were exploring for new sites. “Air” means water and “Bajo” is the name of the traditional sea gypsies from the Philippines who lived on their boats. People living on the land near the dive site reminded the guides of the "Bajo". The sea gypsies historically bathed newborns in the ocean in order to introduce them to the sea, and although they no longer live solely on their boats, they can be found living on small islands around Borneo. The site is sandy from the flat until the bottom and is very silty so divers should be careful with their fins while moving or while others are taking pictures.
