RETAK LARRY (LARRY’S CRACK)
Description: Another sand site, but with a small stand of healthy coral in the shallows. This is the most popular site in Kambahu Bay, third behind Hairball and Jahir in diver numbers for muck sites in the Strait. This site, like Hairball and TK2 has good variety and numbers and is especially popular for frogfish, cockatoo flounders, sea horses, pipefish (esp. the filamented ghost pipefish) and the irregular mass appearance and mating / egg-laying of the Gymnodoris ceylonica nudibranch as well as various slug species, not reported from other sites in the Strait. This site is named after a guest photographer, Larry Jackson, who found a cracked rock on the way up from the dive.
