COVID-19 Updates: Travel to Indonesia and Staying at Lembeh Resort

The Indonesian Government has issued temporary prohibitions of entry and/or transit (travel ban) into Indonesia for foreigners. The prohibitions take effect from April 2nd 2020 until the end of the COVID-19 pandemic is declared by an appropriate authority.

Our primary concerns are always the health and safety of our staff and guests, and now that guests from overseas are prohibited from entering Indoneisa, many of our staff have returned to their villages to spend time with their families.

Over the last weeks and months our staff teams have received extensive training and education regarding COVID-19 and preventative measures and best practices. We are proud and reassured to know that they are returning home equipped with knowledge and the ability to share this in their communities.

This is the first time, since opening, that Lembeh Resort has closed and during this period we will continue to support our staff. Resort managers Kathrin and Tarkan, and Dive Center Manager Gitti, remain in the resort along with a small local team, and are keeping the resort ready for welcoming guests as soon as we are able to do so.

We wish all of you and your families all the best and good health. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates from within the resort and our teams in North Sulawesi.
