2013 Capturing Critters in Lembeh with William Tan

2013 Capturing Critters in Lembeh with William Tan

William Tan, one of the world’s premier macro underwater photographers, has helped hundreds improve their photo skills.  Lembeh Strait is William’s home away from home and he looks forward to share his skills with divers who love critters this December at Lembeh Resort.

William appears regularly as a judge in underwater photo competitions. Through images he captured, he has worked with ichthyologists and scientists in discovering new behavior patterns, and describing new marine species, including the “Lembeh Sea Dragon”.

With the support of Canon Inc. (Singapore), ANSWER Inc. (Japan), and Nauticam International Ltd. (Hong Kong), William is privileged to test shoot many of Canon’s newest compacts and high-end DSLRs underwater.

Other than two published books, Gorontalo: Hidden Paradise and Silent Symphony, William’s works have also been featured in Scuba Diving (USA), National Geographic (Hungary), Marine Photo (Japan), DivingWorld (Japan), Sukeltajan Maailma (Finland), Sportdiving (Australia), Mergulho (Brazil), Scuba Diver Australasia (Singapore), Asian Diver (Singapore), Daily Telegraph (England), TravelCom (Taiwan), EZDive (Taiwan), Chinese National Geographic (China), and ProDiver (China).
