The Next Generation Of Lembeh Resort
Our warmest congratulations to Keisah and Kevas Rorimpandey, aged 13 and 10, on completing their PADI Junior Open Water course together with Instructor Dimpy Jacobs!
These certifications are especially significant to us because as the children of Lembeh Resort owners Ray and Friska Rorimpandey, and grandchildren of Lembeh Resort founder Alex Rorimpandey, they are now able to fully appreciate the unique beauty and amazing fauna of Lembeh Strait and continue the tradition started in their family three generations ago. Jacques Cousteau famously said, “People protect what they love” and this is why it is so important for young people to have access to the underwater world. It is an honour for Critters@Lembeh to instil what we are sure will become a life-long love of diving and the ocean in Keisah and Kevas, and they are really excited to finally be able to experience first-hand the beauty and wonder of the underwater world that they have been hearing about all their lives. Dimpy said their enthusiasm for learning made it fun for everyone, for example the two students even carried their own underwater slates so they could write down the names of things they saw during the dives.
