Miles is an award-winning creative entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience as a consultant, educator, and photographer.
Miles has always used photography to inspire people to actively participate in the evolution of environmental and marine ecosystems. To date he has completed more than 6000 dives and visited more than 500 cities in 30 countries. As a source of creative inspiration he has a deep understanding and respect for the marine world.
Miles has worked with many organizations including Microsoft, BigPark, Adobe, VFS, BCSPCA, Habitat for Humanity, Project AWARE, BC Children's Hospital, ASEM, Oceanswatch and Divers Alert Network.
He brings a rare and unique perspective to any creative endeavor. A blend of cultural insights, stories and perspectives from his travels abroad, combined with a breadth of experience in multiple creative environments including software, marketing and education.
Miles has led large-scale innovation efforts, incubated new IP, rebranded multi-million dollar companies, and deployed revolutionary natural user interfaces. Although he is most proud of his non-profit work and the hundreds of design, dive, a photographic students he has been fortunate enough to inspire, mentor and transform.
Miles Nurse currently works in the technology start-up scene in Vancouver and runs a design collective – that provides digital marketing and imaging services.
