Cromileptes altivelis
Barramundi Cod Juvenile
Found on coral reefs, where they hide in crevices, among branching corals, or within coral rubble of sheltered reef areas. Juveniles exhibit a distinctive undulating swimming motion, similar to that of harlequin sweetlips juveniles. Their coloration is snow white with black spots. Adults are considered an important food fish. Found at depths between 3 - 20 meters.
