Banded Mud Moray Eel

A medium-sized moray eel with an elongated, muscular body and a mottled pattern of dark blotches on a pale to brownish background, providing effective camouflage among rocks and coral. Like other morays, it lacks pectoral and pelvic fins and has a continuous dorsal fin running from behind the head to the tail.
