Gymnothorax enigmaticus

Enigmatic Moray

A distinctive, banded eel with a pale cream body marked by 17-21 dark brown bands circling its head and body, resembling a sea snake, reaching about 58cm long; it's a nocturnal hunter of small fish and crustaceans, using its excellent smell and unique throat jaws for capture in tropical reefs, often found peeking from coral holes.
