Pictichromis paccagnellorum

Royal Dottyback

Also known as the bicolor dottyback, gramma dotty, or false gramma, this species is commonly kept in marine aquariums. The front half of the body is bright purple, fading to yellow on the posterior, and it typically grows up to 3 inches (7.5 cm) in captivity. Despite its small size, it is highly territorial and will defend its space against much larger fish, though it can coexist with many other common aquarium species.
