Pteroidichthys amboinensis
Ambon Scorpionfish
Found on sandy, muddy, and algae-covered bottoms. Often very well camouflaged among detritus. Its body is covered with skin flaps, which are more prominent in males. Coloration ranges from yellow, brown, and red to pink. Found at depths of up to 40 meters.
