Body has brown blotch with white edging or tips on fin rays around head and body. Some small hair on upper surface of body. It is a nocturnal species and found buried in the sand of coastal waters.

Reddish brown and dark edge light spots, have random cluster small yellow spots and stay solitary in sand. Has a toxic glands along the base of dorsal and anal fins. Lives on sandy bottoms of coastal water.

Gray base color with numerous brown bars and a wide black margin along the body. This species is nocturnal and uses an undulating motion when swimming in open water. Inhabits sandy and coral areas of coastal reefs and is easily found on night dives. Found at depths of 2 to 10 meters.

Have shades of brown color with line of reticulum. Some ring and spots, 2-4 pairs of large black spots ringed with white dots. Found in sandy and mud bottom in coastal areas.

Brown in coloration with dark stripes and spots on the body and white spots on the fins, this species is easily recognised by its long dorsal rays, which are spread forward when the animal is agitated. It is typically solitary, inhabiting sandy and silty bottoms of sheltered bays and estuaries, and feeds on benthic animals, including octopus.

Solitary and mostly found on sandy bottoms near coastal coral and rocky reefs, where it is perfectly camouflaged within the environment. The first dorsal ray is modified into a fishing rod and lure, similar to that of a frogfish. It preys on fish and octopuses and has been observed attacking and killing mimic octopuses, coconut octopuses, and wonderpus. Found at depths ranging from 1 to 96 meters.
