Professional Critters@Lembeh dive guides!
My husband, Jim, and I first came to the Lembeh Resort in November 2010 with members of the Houston Underwater Photographic Society (HUPS). It was my first experience with diving in SE Asia, and I was amazed by the variety of marine life and the photographic opportunities presented by “muck diving” and by the quality of the resort and the diving operation. We started planning a return trip on the plane back to Houston, and our experience this trip has fully confirmed our first impression.
On our first trip we used Ramli as a dive guide and were very pleased, not only with his ability to find critters, but the attention he paid us in ensuring our safety and well being. We requested him for this trip again. However, we have found that all of the Critters@Lembeh dive guides are professional, protected the marine environment, and concerned with safety. We also were impressed with the onsite professional photographer, Steve Fish. He actually manufactured some parts for my husband’s video rig, and gave me some valuable information on underwater photography in 2010. This year he was ready with advice on lighting for shooting macro video and this time assisted me with a camera housing problem. He also put me in touch with Hergen, who runs the diving operation for a session on “snoot” photography.
The accommodations and meals are first class – even better than we remembered. This is already turning out to be the trip of a lifetime, and we are only half way through our stay![hozbreak]Kandace Heimer is an accomplished nature, wildlife, and underwater photographer whose work has been exhibited at various venues in Houston, Texas, and at the Moody Gardens Aquarium in Galveston, Texas.
