Burkhard Ohlendorf was born in Germany 1952, and he has been diving for exactly 30 years now.
His first dive at his diving-course was also the first dive with a camera, the well-known Nikonos IV A, also called “water-tank” and from that time he never made a dive empty handed. “The results in the beginning were quite funny,” he recalls, “just like my underwater model (my dog), but I always thought, for 30 years now, I am still learning and I could do it better.”
After some years of practice, he started with competitions and had first places in Germany, USA, Israel and other countries.
Now Burkhard and his wife Chris, do things a little bit slower “I am diving and photographing just for fun, especially at fantastic places like Lembeh Strait, enjoying the amazing critter-hunt,” Burkhard Ohlendorf.
