Marcus Lindenlaub makes his home near Cologne in Germany, with his wife and his two daughters. Following a lifelong interest in natural history and in foreign cultures, Marcus has been photographing since 1988.
His images are published internationally on a wide range of products including books, calendars and greetings and postcards. One of his images received a highly honored award at Nature's Best Competition and has been exhibited in Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington. Marcus' photography focuses on the natural world. He looks to make photographs that show everyday subjects in a light that highlights their beauty and evokes a sense of wonder. Marcus’ emotional connection to wild animals, wild areas and foreign cultures comes across clearly in his pictures.
His mission is to promote knowledge and understanding about the earth and its natural history through images and ideas that convey a passion for nature and a sense of wonder about our living planet.
