Lutjanus kasmira
Common Bluestripe Snapper
Colour is the most diagnostic feature of this fish, especially when alive or freshly caught. The back and sides are bright yellow, fading to white on the lower flanks and underside of the head. Four vivid blue stripes run longitudinally along the sides, accompanied by several faint greyish stripes on the lowermost portion of the body. Most fins are yellow.
